About Me
I'm newer to this path than some, older than others, and on multiple parallel paths at once. Who I am is a complex, sometimes contradictory existence. I am a sensual, verbally and physically expressive person who is Lifestyle in more than one way and very sapiosexual as knowledge and intellect are an aphrodisiac for me.
I am more within my being that my outward appearances belie. I would say I am, pardon the gratuitous sci-fi reference, somewhat like The Matrix as I cannot tell you who I am, I can only show you. I believe each person I touch in my life experiences me differently that any other. This is because everyone views me from their own point of view evaluated against their life knowledge and experiences.
That being said, I can show you a small fraction of myself by telling you that I love Spanish literature, American literature cooking, am fluent in Spanish, love the outdoors, hiking, camping, canoing, backpacking, walking, nature, Celtic music, self-reliant living, self-sufficient living, off-grid living, and meeting new people. I also love motorcycles, particularly dual sport motorcycles.
I'm am quirky at times, usually intellectual, sometimes irreverent or silly in good ways (mostly to avoid being too serious) and depending on the situation and the possible alignment of the planets I can be distantly introspective or quite emotionally expressive. I believe it is hard to find a single person who would get and understand all of me, but life is about the adventure and perhaps with multiple stops or sights to see along the way. We can at least have some interesting conversations and create some nice memories as friends if nothing else.
Something else to know is that I can be very driven and intense about things and ideas that matter to me and that zest and zeal could be a bit much for some people, though it is generally limited to deep and lively discussions about things I care about. Once you get to know me you will find out what those things are, but for now suffice it to say that most of the time I am fairly laid back.
I already realize that I am quite different than most on this site, and most people in general, thus why I call myself atypical. I look forward to making new friends and meeting new people in the process and perhaps I am someone you are looking for or perhaps you didn't know you were looking for someone like me.
I do web design work, report generation and technology troubleshooting at the an area high education institution while I expand upon my knowledge and experience regarding more self-reliant, self-sufficient off-grid living. I desire making a break from some of the high-speed, keeping up with society lifestyle that regardless of one's views seems to catch us all up in its grasp.
I am also learning new things everyday simply because I am curious, so please, give me more food for thought if you'd like. I rather enjoy odd bits of knowledge, interesting thoughts and even things that make me ponder deeply.
I focus on learning something new daily, no matter how small it seems. I am a constant moment by moment learner and student, autodidactic or from another person.
I'm really good at asking questions that make someone go "hmmm". I'm also great at photography, poetry and talking about just about anything under the Sun. I am also a great cook, give great massages, enjoy making people smile and feel warm inside...and yet help some find their inner evil twin, when appropriate. ;-)
I'm also really good at being a friend and a listener. I like to hear what others have to say.
The things I could never do without include sensually, erotically focused love; emotional/physical intimacy with D/s flavor; personal poetry expressed through living one's life philosophy and standing firm on those beliefs yet still willing to open one's mind to alternate viewpoints; heart-felt music of the mind, body and spirit; intellectual discourse and transcending socially imposed limits and expectations; and dark chocolate and dark chocolate containing products.
I could give more, but these seem to be a good examples to start with...
Two more things I could never do without, as bonus items for you to know, is personal freedom to choose and the right to protect oneself from harm.
I spend a lot of time thinking about the mystery that is this existence. I also think about quite a few other less deep thinking subjects, so I am quite broad minded...though not so much so that my brain falls out of my cranium. That, of course, would bit a bit awkward and messy I think. ;-)
More down to earth and a bit more everyday I think about a wide range of almost anything and everything. I once saw things more as a right/wrong, black/white duality though over time I began to see things are a gray scale and now it has turned technicolor and often ambiguous on what I think sometimes. There are many things I care about, though the intellectual struggle over classic, romantic, vanguard, modern and postmodern viewpoints and the arguments of firm versus situational reference points of making value judgments sometimes bake my noodle.
In the end I think there is much room for discussion on just about anything. I believe there is room for all viewpoints as long as one is willing to accept differences between individuals and err to the side of giving all more freedom to express rather than pursue more safety by restricting.
I will admit two things for the price of one, first my viewpoints are very much not vanilla, more like dark chocolate rocky road. Second I am very much a pro-BBW person and admirer. I am who I am and these two things are integral parts of who I am.
As for an extra bonus, I am also a sapiophilic, sapiosexual person which means, for those who are unfamiliar with that term, that intelligence, intellect, nerdy/geeky qualities and technical skills are very attractive to me and get my attention.
